In just 4x25 km, the Caribbean island has 33 white beaches with turquoise waters. Which, thanks to careful flow management policies, can be enjoyed 'almost exclusively', especially in summer.
Only 4 km wide by 25 km long: these are the dimensions that make Anguilla one of the most exclusive and enchanting little pearls of the Caribbean. And on which there are still 33 white sandy beaches with turquoise water.
A jewel that attracts travellers from all over the world — including Italy — as Tiziana Gennari, Trade & Media Relations, Anguilla Tourist Board — Italy Representative Office explains: “In 2023, tourists from all over the world, and from Italy in particular, reached 2019 levels. 2024 began with a 20% increase in Italian tourists, which we expect to be confirmed throughout the year”.
Numbers that reflect the Tourism Office's commitment to making Anguilla known for its authenticity. “We have always been considered a luxury destination, but the real luxury of Anguilla is the pleasant lack of crowds, its long deserted beaches, safe environment and unspoiled nature. The ideal destination for those who no longer want to feel like a 'visitor' but, part of a community, even if only for a short time: an important part of the experience is the opportunity to meet people, perhaps during evenings in the characteristic bars and restaurants, listening to music and sipping Rum Punch, dancing in the crowd during Carnival, or hiking with local guides”.
“Anguilla has always focused on the quality of its services,” Gennari concludes, “and stands out for choices that reconcile the arrival of tourists with the protection of the environment of such a small island. Thanks also to these choices, in summer Anguilla offers a cheaper holiday option, with packages featuring luxury experiences that are also affordable for tourists with lower budgets”.
Dream foreign destinations, from medium to long haul, will be represented in the world area of BIT 2025, at fieramilano in Rho from 9 to 11 February 2025.
